Part of what makes going to polka festivals so special is the chance to get together with friends from all over the U.S. and Canada. As a way for the younger generation to foster these polka friendships, Polka Fireworks will be hosting a Teen Mixer and Tween Party. There will be games and contests, refreshments, fun, prizes – and the chance to build the friendships that make those who travel to polka festivals into one big polka family. The Glendora House in Chicago Ridge, IL was packed on May 5th for the Combination Celebration of Polish Constitution Day and Cinco de Mayo. What a fun event! All in attendance enjoyed the great entertainment provided by Hank Guzevich & Polka Family, Mariachi Potosino, and Guest Vocalist Monica Peña. Thank you to the Bielanski Family & their Staff at the Glendora House for preparing the delicious pierogi, golumki, tamales, and fajitas. Tish Blazonczyk would like to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the afternoon. It was nice to see people from IL, IN, WI, MI, OH, & PA.
